We Are All Just Hangin On

Wood, Screws, Screen-print on Thai Paper, Duct tape, metal pipes, twine, and projection. Dimensions: 8’ x 4’ x 6’

As the pandemic lingers on, with the forces of nature pushing us apart, it seems that we are all barely hanging on, to each other, to our work, to our sanity. I reached out to my virtual community and asked them,
“What keeps you holding on during these hard times?”
We Are All Just Hanging On, takes the answers to this question, shinning a beacon of light inside a parachute, tethered to metal poles that are being pushed up by wind generated by four box fans. Each sway of the chute, each pull of tension from the wind, jostling around this fragile piece of screen-printed paper is the representation of how fragile and delicate we are and how we are all doing our best to stay afloat against the winds of change and time.
